Our Ebay Terms and Conditions

All sales on Ebay are final. No returns, refunds or cancellations. We do our best to describe the items listed accurately and honestly. We reserve the right to make exceptions to the above rule. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs involved.

If you intend on bidding in our auction, then please do it with the intention of paying. Your bid is your agreement to purchase and will be considered as such. Please take a moment to review our policies below.

Used Merchandise

  • Our used merchandise sold on Ebay is sold AS IS / WHERE IS. We cannot possibly guarantee used equipment, however we do test all of our used restaurant equipment and do our best to describe things accurately and honestly. Our staff has a combined 100+ years experience in restaurant equipment management, used restaurant equipment, and restaurant design. We will use any resources we can find to describe the used equipment as accurately as possible. We cannot guarantee these descriptions to be completely accurate but we will do the best possible.
  • Cleaning – We at A-1 Restaurant Equipment have certain employees designated to clean the equipment. Most of this equipment comes in from restaurants so you can expect that there will be the typical grease found in areas that are hard to get to. We make no warrantees or claims that used equipment will be sold as clean as new equipment.
  • Used Refrigeration Equipment – All refrigeration equipment is tested to work prior to leaving our warehouse, however impact and bouncing during shipping can cause leaks in the used equipment. Generally when this happens you can locate a local refrigeration company to fix it for under $120.00. They simply find the leak then repair and recharge. Keep this in mind when ordering used refrigeration equipment. We are not responsible for damages during shipping!

New Merchandise

  • A-1 Restaurant Equipment also distributes new products from the industry’s top manufacturers. New equipment is generally drop-shipped from the manufacturer. We do not guarantee or make any warrantees on new equipment. All new equipment is under the manufacturer’s warrantee and the customer is responsible for all claims to be taken care of with the manufacturer. We are also not responsible for any damages during shipping but we will do our best to assist our customer with any claims made.

Our Guarantee

  • We as a new and used equipment dealer can make no guarantee on equipment. However, if for some reason you feel we have misrepresented our product, please contact us in writing within 15 days of receiving your item. After we’ve received your dispute, we will review the claim and do our best to find a solution. Should we agree to take a return on an item, there may be a 15% restocking fee and customer will be responsible for all shipping costs involved.

Our Payment Policy

To make this process smooth, we require payment to be made in full within 5 days of close of auction, no exceptions please. It’s our goal to provide you with fast and efficient service and we depend on your payment in full in order to provide the best service possible.

  • Payments We Accept – Our preferred method of payment for online sales is Paypal. We also accept payments via Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. NO PERSONAL OR COMPANY CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED! The faster payment is made, the faster your item will be shipped.
  • We will accept money order and cashier's check as long as prior arrangements are made. This will slow down the shipping process and we cannot guarantee shipping times on this type of payment.   • Should payment not be made within 5 days of auction close, we will send one warning. Once 10 days have passed, your item will no longer be available to you and it will be re-listed. We will also contact Ebay and notify them of a non-paying bidder and request return of any fees that are due to us. We may also leave feedback reflecting our experience with non-paying bidders.

Our Shipping Policy

  • We reserve the right to ship the most efficient way possible. Most orders that are shipped from our inventory within 48 hours of confirmed payment.
  • New Items - For new items shipped directly from the manufacturer, we will try to provide the estimated shipping time in the auction description but can make no guarantees as to the shipping times. We are indemnified from any claims made due to shipping from the manufacturer. All claims must be taken care of with the manufacturer on new items by the customer. We will do what we can to facilitate any claims made on behalf of our customers.
  • Used Items - Most used items are shipped from our inventory and are also shipped within 48 hours of confirmed payment. Used restaurant equipment is packaged and shipped the best method possible which is usually UPS Ground. Your item may be packaged in a used box. We will do our best to package our items as such, not to be damaged by careless handlers. Customers are responsible for all shipping claims with the shipper.
  • Freight Items - Sometimes there will be items that are shipped via truck. These items will have to be palletized and or crated and then loaded onto a truck for delivery. As a standard, items that are shipped FOB Cleveland, Ohio 44103. Please allow us an additional 48 hours for shipping for items going truck freight. Typically we use R&L Carriers which does not ship to California. On items shipped via freight, we reserve the right to change the shipping price based on what our carriers charge. We will do our best to list the shipping cost as accurately as possible and the best price for our customer.

Our Feedback Policy

  • Without the ability to exchange feedback, an internet auction site like Ebay would not be possible. We consider feedback as part of the responsibility in any transaction on Ebay. We will leave feedback for every item within 30 days of completion. Our promise to you is that we will leave good feedback for all good transactions as feedback is left for us. Feedback helps build trust in both buyers and sellers and with the amount of increasing fraud, it's important that feedback is exchanged on all transactions. Please help us to help make Ebay a safe place to trade.
